Help us raise money to keep supporting young athletes!
The Alec Flores Youth Sports Scholarship Corporation (AFYSSC) has been working hard to help more kids play sports through scholarships in memory of Alec Flores. Since 2020 AFYSSC has awarded $80,000 in scholarships to more than 300 local athletes who may not have been able to play otherwise. We need to keep funds coming in so we can keep sending them out! The 10 for Alec Challenge is our primary fundraising event and we need YOUR help to make is successful. The more participants, the more we raise!
Do you accept the challenge?
If so, grab your phone and make a video. Show us 10 jumping jacks, pushups, somersaults, or cartwheels. Ten free-throws, goals, or laps. Give us a 10-word poem, a 10-color painting, or 10 little monkeys jumping on a bed. Even though the organization is about sports, this challenge about imagination. If you accept it, it is up to you to come up with 10 of something meaningful.

Create a short video of yourself sharing your 10. Be creative! Make sure to state your name, what you are doing, and who you challenge next. Need some ideas? Check out our highlights reel below.

Next, share your video with others, including the person you have challenged. Post on social media if you are able and use the hashtag #10ForAlec. You can also tag @AFYSSC and we may share your video, too! Be sure to like our page on Facebook.

Finish the challenge by donating $10 (or more) to the Alec Flores Youth Sports Scholarship Corporation (AFYSSC).
There is no limit on the number of times you can complete the task and challenge someone new!!

About "10 for Alec"
Alec was energetic and passionate, and when he took on a challenge, he took it on fully. We have established the Alec Flores Youth Sports Scholarship Corporation (AFYSSC, a 501c3 non-profit) in his memory because sports are where his heart was --
they were his favorite way to challenge himself.
